The evening will be a fantastical and astounding mélange of live entertainment, culinary art with dinner donated by Proof on Main, and many more surprises. Acts include performance art from the 2008 Whitney Biennial, a unique pas de duex by Pilobolus, and a "Bedtime Story" by a special mystery guest.

Tickets for the event are $500, and may be purchased by calling Christy Bramble at (502) 582-5000 or e-mailing cbramble@21chotels.com. Proceeds will benefit the International Contemporary Art Foundation and 21c Museum in its goal to continue bringing different forms of artistic expression to the public. Special room rates at 21c Museum Hotel will be available for Pajama Party guests.

Artist Donor Tables

For the first time, 21c is offering donors an opportunity to purchase a table hosted by a contemporary artist. Upon purchasing a table, donors will receive an original piece of artwork and be able to have dinner with its creator. The following are the artists who have so generously donated their work for our fundraiser:

Elena Dorfman Michael Combs Judy Fox Adam Stennett Gaela Erwin Guerra de la Paz

Background

The International Contemporary Art Foundation is a non-profit, collecting institution that funds and operates the 21c Museum within the 21c Hotel. The Foundation relies on the Annual Pajama Party as its main source of fundraising for the entire year. Proceeds from the party benefit the Museum's general operating fund and allow 21c to continue to share its collection and programs free of charge with the community and beyond.

Since our 2006 Grand Opening, 21c has hosted more than 90,000 visitors and presented ten different exhibitions, including both regional and internationally known artists. 21c has become synonymous with the place to enjoy a well–rounded cultural experience. In addition to a rotating exhibition program, 21c has sponsored many Kentucky artists, including Dan Dutton in his largest exhibition to date. We also provided a venue for a standing room only debut performance by Empujón, Louisville‘s own off-season contemporary dance company.

Recent visitors may have noticed that the 21c Museum Foundation changed its name to the International Contemporary Art Foundation in hopes to better solidify its presence as a non-profit entity. This has been a change in name only; as all operating procedures remain the same, we hope to continue to offer the public with contemporary fine art that is approachable, without pretense, and enjoyable by all audiences. With your continued support, we will continue to provide an exciting program of special events and dynamic exhibitions free and open to the public.
