Cabaret Life Drawing Sketches

In the Proof bar
April – September 2010

Exhibited in conjunction with 21c Sunday Series

Transforming Proof Bar is an ongoing exhibition of sketches selected from 21c Museum's Cabaret Life Drawing classes. Every Sunday afternoon, 21c presents Cabaret Life Drawing, a two-hour session where an array of burlesque starlets, fetish models, magicians, hula hoop artists and elaborately costumed showgirls whose performance and poses provide the basis for guests to sketch in a series of individual pencil and charcoal drawings.

The exhibition is ongoing until late Summer 2010 and drawings will rotate as new works are submitted. Attendees of any skill level are invited to submit their class drawings each week to instructor Skylar Smith.

Featured artists currently are Philip Back, Jonathan Brannon, Barbara Bugg, Potter Coe, Dominic Guatnaschelli, Rebecca J Henderon, John Lee, Damon Thompson, and Joseph Welsh.
